- On contract years the taxes increase because the expenses increase due to negotiations. Representatives take off to negotiate the terms of the new agreement and are paid by the Union in place of their daily rate of pay. Also, attorney fees as can be expected are increased as well.

Discussion
Ideas and discussions underway seeking a way to having non-working union representatives based on the recent actions by the company to undermine the Union.
Upcoming Blizzard – Know Your Rights
- As a school route driver, if you KNOW your schools have already called off, notify the company that you would like to use a sick, personal, or vacation day. Do not call-in last minute to use personal or vacation days.
- All drivers in discipline protocol you must make a valid attempt to make it into work tomorrow.
- The majority of the snow will fall today, Sunday the 22nd. The company will not pay you the $20 on the contract like last snow storm because most of the snow fell on Sunday.
- Warehouse, if you are working today and are not paid the $20, file a grievance or see a Union rep.
If you are a paid Union rep you will not be paid the month that you miss a scheduled meeting. The bylaws call for termination for missing meetings and we will follow them but we are showing leniency by enacting this new step. Today we will take a vote to make it a continuous practice.
Our brothers at Clover Farms who make the majority of our milk are nearing the end of their contract with Cream-O-Land Dairy and are mired in contract negotiations as we speak. If they come to an impasse and a strike is looming see the Union website for updates and how this may affect us as drivers and warehouse workers.
